The Master Builders
The Master Builders enjoys an idyllic New Forest setting by the River Beaulieu. It is part of Bucklers Hard, a Georgian village built on the Beaulieu estate. The hotel built was originally the home of Henry Adams, Master shipbuilder to Nelson’s Navy. There is a fine riverside walk (part of the Solent Way) to Beaulieu (home of the Motor Museum) and from Easter to October river cruises. The hotel has 25 rooms, its own pub and a fine restaurant. Story
Tom Sellars has worked with Tom Aikens, Thomas Keller, Adam Byatt and Rene Redzepi. Story’s menu features a choice between a six-course (£45) or ten-course (£65) menu and includes his signature Bread & Dripping, as well as other dishes such as Scallops, Cucumber & Dill Ash and Beef Cheek, Cocktails include Tom’s Collins and Old ‘Skool’ Fashioned, a heady mix of bourbon, Angostura and sugar. Artisan beers from Bermondsey’s Kernel Brewery.

Flock & Herd
Flock & Herd is new butcher selling free range British meat. Charlie Shaw, the head butcher, previously worked at Drings of Blackheath and the Ginger Pig, The lamb is from Romney Marsh, the beef is grass fed and the pork outdoor reared.
